Potential employees FAQs

We accept walk in applicants on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 9am and 2pm.

If those times do not work with your schedule, please call our office to schedule an appointment, and we will be happy to find a time that works for you.

We hire LPNs, RNs and CNAs on a consistent basis.

We also will recruit for certain positions when requested by our customers – for example but not limited to:

• Dental Assistants
• Lab Techs
• Phlebotomists
• Nurse Practitioners
• Nutritionists
• Counselors

Bonuses

HealthForce of Virginia offers a great benefits package. We have monthly bonuses based on the amount of time you work with in a calendar year. Bonuses are paid monthly as regular wages as they are earned. Every 250 hours you work will earn you one bonus.

Additionally we offer a referral bonus if we hire someone that you refer to us; you would receive the bonus after they have worked 200 hours.

Pay Advances
HealthForce offers advances on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. In order to receive an advance, you must have already worked the shift you are requesting, and you must have your request in by 10 am on the day you would like to receive your advance. You may pick up your advance after 2 pm. You will be advanced the approximate amount of your take home pay, and the amount of the advance(s) will be deducted from your next check. You must turn in a signed time card of the shifts worked prior to receiving an advance.

Health Insurance
We also offer health and dental insurance to qualified full-time employees. We will be glad to give you additional information on our Health Coverage.

Retirement

All Virginia-based HealthForce employees are automatically enrolled in RetirePath, a state-run program offering 5% contributions with 1% annual increases. Employees can opt-out of the program anytime through the RetirePath website.

Paid Time-Off

HealthForce employees are allotted 40 hours of paid time-off upon completing a minimum number of hours within a calendar year. Employees may also choose to have this time paid out if they do not wish to take time off.

Requests are subject to approval by both HealthForce staffing coordinators and by facility personnel.

You must provide a chest x-ray that was completed within five years, and complete a tuberculosis questionnaire yearly.

Our employees are paid weekly, either by direct deposit or a printed check.
